Keyboard/mouse and I use a joystick emulation program for additional mappings to the keyboard, because in LFS a button is not the same as a key :fp:

I've tried it all - first i was using keyboard for few months, than for a long time mouse, and finally (and still) driving with logitech momo. From my experience, mouse is just as fast as wheel, but its pretty.. limited in close racing.. Also i tried few logitech wheels, FF Ex is junk, momo is ok, G25/G27 kicks ass (pedals are awesome) :wine:

On the FZ2? When I drive the FZ2, it's like the car is on the handbrake all the time by itself - rendering the handbrake as a totally useless piece of furniture in the coupe.

Though i think your wheel position is too high. I have similar computer desk, only i mounted wheel below on keyboard drawer, thats just too unnatural position. :-?

Yes the wheel is (very) good even if it's pretty old and simple, I bought it (used) in... 2007

It is my third wheel, and only the first one to resist to an intensive LFS drive, just broken spring (gaz pedal) but fixed with a hand-made solution

Regarding the driving position, further to a car crash in 2008 (during my last race...), I have some troubles with my neck, so I try to set the screen as high as possible, the seat as low as possible, in order to keep neck in line.

But for the wheel position, I don't see any setting possibilities, I don't know if I set the force feed-back too strong, but I have to tighten the wheel almost twice an hour... So I don't take the risk to install it to another piece of the desk :-?

Joe

Yes Fadeaway, I understood but I mean my keyboard drawer is "weak", or not strong enough for the force feed-back.

My desk is from Ikea (sweden made, brand well known in Europe, I don't know in the U.S.), and it doesn't seem to be LFS compliant

But anyway, in fact I tried to get closer to the Clio Cup cockpit, where your head is aligned with the top of the wheel :coke:

Friend from my ex team keeps g25 on keyboard drawer (with insane FF) :o - its little messed up but its not broken yet, as far as i know  I keep it like this for last month or so - I've had worries first few days, but it seems like it handles it well..
