As im getting somewhat tired of being crashed,i just wondered how peoples car views looks like as it seems many doesnt use mirrors and so forth.so i thought it might be because of "blind" spots or bad angles in the view in side the car.

i go first. i use 120 degree view on one screen.
front view

looking backwards

and yes its still a desert out there..:)
well as you can see im not able to see a car in the corner of my rear end of the car. thats my "blind spot".

hope to see yours aswell, for better understanding why people sometimes do weird stuff on track.

thats the idea here anyways.

drive safe, and race clean

I use wheel view, so no excuse for crashing for me  , with around 100% FOV. Tires status is usually on and this is exactly how I see it:

Some argue that it's not "as RL", but I find it more realistic than cockpit view especially in tin top cars because of the blind spot, before all. In RL, when I have a blind spot I instinctively move my had, which I can not do here. Also, when driving in RL, my concentration is in front of the car and I don't even notice the interior of the car. In LFS, however, I just can't ignore it for some reason... maybe the lack of 3D depth is the reason.

By the way, what is TrackIR?

Hmm... cool thing :)
I guess it's a next step to the final gadget and that is glasses which will replace monitors. And then, we will complete our mission started 20 years a go of looking absolutely 100% stupid when sitting in a corner, facing an empty wall, with the glasses, earphones and TrackIR devices, relentlessly rolling the wheels and pressing the pedals, sweating and shouting, completely unaware of what will be going on around us.

We will not appear any different to what had been known as a "hopeless mental case" just some 30 years a go
That's the progress! :P

3 screen setup courtesy of softTH, just need to get 3 identical monitors and turn on SLI so I can ditch softth and use nvidia surround or whatever they call it.
