Yesterday the S2 server went dead... You get that when you run the application 4 months without restart and after serving 6 zillion connections, I guess :x

It was kinda funny... 35 people who couldn't race nowhere online anymore because 'username was already online'. Imagine the horror :o :D .

Anyway, Mikey called me (one ring I guess, missed that one) and Joske sent a text SMS so I was informed pretty fast to fix it.

I don't use such easy passwords and after three tries you get banned from the server by IP. Happened to myself once :fp: :fp:

No... I think the communication between the main server and S2 was still 'up'. Constantly reporting 35 drivers online. While the actual communication between the drivers, local on the server came in some sort of endless loop.

Dunno, LFS still has some rare weird bugs, related to communication. There is room for improvement, let me put it that way.

But it's rare, so not very serious. I'd rather see the spectate-on-lag blockade being fixed

Has all got to do with not handling communication parallel. Probably (hopefully) Scawen has a complete new netcode laying around. People complained about various issues regarding communication already during the last patch update but Scawen choosed to ignore those.
