Have tried this out this evening.

It has some quirks about it:

It's full volume always (noticeable in "race" camera view, i.e. it doesn't get quieter the further the car is from the camera).
I can't hear the tires when wheels slip.
All the sounds are rips from other games at the moment, notably GTR and other simbin games. Which kinda tries to turn LFS into GTR.
My FZR sounds nothing like that ^
FXR sounds like a tractor.


But after all that, I do race quicker with it. Mostly because I can't hear the tires, so instead of backing off on a corner when I can hear my rear tires squealing, I only back off when I can see/feel the car slipping.

Rofllol, you can achieve that by just editing LFS soundfile via Shift+A
