Anyway i started the thread with hope that someone might upload some skins that they have made.. and to ask for something..

Can someone find and post default skins for all cars (or any) in high resolution, i have only bad quality ones, i mean its fine i can just use the outlines to sketch the skin and then delete it, but it wud be really nice if i could get hi res ones.. thank you

I have never made any myself but I have tried a few times to figure it out, but never got the hang of it yet.

Joske was hoping to start on some team skins for us and I volunteered to help so maybe in the near future we

will figure this thing out and there will be some skins available for the CG team.

I once downloaded all the stuff needed for skinning but when I got to it, it scared the hell out of me.

I know photoshop quite a bit, but this is too much.

LFS only looks at the internal overlay... So it looks at the 1024x1024 image, takes a mold (een mal) and re-cuts everything out. The default image only helps you to find out where you must put thingies.

So it really is just positioning and put some color roughly on the right places, if you want a multicolored car. You don't have to, for example, fill the white bumper very precise with the color you want.. Just put a rectangle over it with a color and LFS finds out by itself what you intended.

And you need to download the CMX viewer; http://www.lfs.net/?page=addons

Otherwise you need to start LFS, repit everytime, look at the changes...

Very time consuming. With the viewer you are directly in the garage and you can watch the car from all kinds of angles and light conditions.

Tommorow i have a new skinn.. I have learn now how it is to make a skin.. I make now a new skinn for CG Team.

To cut a long story short, health reasons mean I'm unable to race as often
But I WILL join as often as I can.

in LFS land.

Volges mij moet ik minimaal ?1 GBP Op mijn lfs acount hebben voor die pas 1024 x 1024 wordt. Of heb ik dat mis. Nu is die dus 512 x 512.

Probeer jij jou fzr skin hier eens te krijgen Dave op 1024 x 1024.

Ik heb mijn afbeelden op 1024 x 1024, dan ga ik naar lfs desktop toe. Dan klik ik links onderin op My online car skinns. Dan staat boven aan skinn uploaden. Dan ga ik dus bladeren en klik ik de skinn aan. Ik upload hem dan. Bij mij werkt die dan prima. Dan zie je daar al die kleine auto'tjes staan. Bij de FXR staat een "oogje" Bekijk de skinn. Daar klik ik dan op, en dan kopieer ik de link van die foto, en die maakt die dan automatisch 512 x 512.

Voor die geene wat denken dat ze het zo kunnen... probeer het hier maar eens mee.

The FOX, FXR, FZR and the FXO are ready. Speedy J, nl2dav, Sandeman and Joey have them in the email.

It's no use.

You must give the filenames the exact same name in the way you uploaded them to LFSW. Like I told you yesterday.

Other members shouldn't have to upload, now you are forcing it.

As a result every player in the game need to download the exact same skin multiple times, causing unnecessary delays / hick ups.

This are the filenames. That "kopie" is the original name of the upload skinn. I have every skinn kopie that i have a original skin for make another skinn.

Joey place them in the skiinn map, and it is working, i have see it on lfs.

I received them and renamed the FXR skin. Uploaded the skin and took it in LFS on my FXR. Then thats okay right?

(Could have been easier like Dave says but hey, I got it working now, didnt I? At least, an other racer swa my skin allright)

No you don't have to upload it. The fxr skin has the name: FXR_DEFAULT - kopie
take the file and place them in the : skinn map. Than is it al ready working.
